Quick turnaround on reservation s friendly service

I love that it is easily accessible in the centre of our town, with helpful and friendly staff, who always work hard with the Friends of Shepton Mallet Library to create events for the community to become involved. I enjoy the children's area, with my youngest. There are also books, dvds and mafazines for sale, as well as DVDs to rent and you can order books in too.

Apparently one can't phone the local library anymore as they are so busy they do not want their "phone lines clogged up with enquiries" as quoted by Somerset County Council. Disappointing

For over 50 years this place has been like a second retreat to enjoy a good book
