We stayed here just for one night and had dinner and breakfast and it was so friendly and inviting, the food was amazing and the staff are so nice and friendly definitely would go back again

We came in for dinner, wasn’t the best interior but do like a bit of quirkiness! Some background music would have been nice. Food wasn’t good at all unfortunately, fish curry was more like soup, the lasagne was either spam or vegetarian, couldn’t work it out lol Chips were cold, ribs weren’t nice. Chicken burger was ok, bit overcooked. When paying the bill started off as one price, then went up more, then a third time! Once paid the waitress just walked off with no word at all which I thought was very rude seeing as the problem was mainly with the food and not originally the service. Pint was alright though lol I wish I went to the Italian round the corner!

Very friendly service and really lovely people running this place. I sent an email about my dietary requirements and they happily provided for me for breakfast menu to help me with my allergy issues. Helpful with the tourist places A car park on site. They do provide meals for lunch and evenings if you require and has a bar too so we would come here again. Clean rooms and lots of room.

Although we did not stay here, whilst visiting the area, we stopped in on several occasions because of the name (if you know you know). What an amazing and friendly welcome, run by family. Even though we were not staying here, we were made to feel like guests in the family home. Would highly recommend and when we are back in the area we intend to stay .

Really friendly staff. Rooms are laid out nicely and clean. Breakfast and evening meals are really nice and a credit to the chef.

Can't not comment on the rooms but the breakfast was good. Served relatively quick clean and tidy venue. Reasonably priced.

First off the staff are brilliant, very helpful & friendly and the hotel is spotless.. unfortunately it is a bit tired and some basics were missing ... As in our room was serviced but we were left with no tea cups, the bathroom was very small, the TV didn't work, but loads of hot water & mirrors in our room. Big car park & beer garden. It is very central and no ones fault but Shepton Mallet is like a ghost town there is nothing there !!!! .... Very few pubs.. didn't see a restaurant anywhere....but back to the Shrubbery..we enjoyed our stay, like I said earlier the staff are very pleasant and helpful.

Very friendly staff and helpful staff. Evening meal was very tasty, hot from first mouthful to last and very good value. Clean comfortable room with everything that I wanted. Very good base to stay for a hospital appointment at Shepton Mallet. Shepton Mallet has everything you need within walking distance of The Shrubbery.

Lovely little gem of a place. Does full English breakfast until 3pm, which will ensure we'll be regulars. Great menu choices reasonable prices. Cozy bar, nicely appointed restaurant. Friendly staff, clean loos. Pretty little garden where you can eat or drink. Fair size carpark
